Brad Reed Nelson is a wood and metal artist based in the Roaring Fork Valley. Rooted in a deep respect for material and a love of invention and concept, Brad’s practice reflects years of thoughtful exploration and craftsmanship. His recent work considers how we relate to everyday objects in a consumer-driven world. By reimagining items often seen as disposable—many made from natural resources—Brad invites viewers to pause and reflect on the hidden value, labor, and material behind them. His sculptures encourage a renewed appreciation for the overlooked and a deeper awareness of the systems that shape our relationship to material culture.
Brad received his MFA in Sculpture from Arizona State University and holds an undergraduate degree in Design from Murray State University in Kentucky.
We have had the privilege to work with a multitude of skilled artists, crafts people, sculptors, and inventors over the years.
Team bios to come.
Our shop, located in Glenwood Springs CO, is where the magic happens. Brad has been collecting tools the majority of his life, starting with those inherited from his father. The shop consists of three main parts, the wood studio, metal shop and the office and showroom. Brad would describe it as his favorite place to be, where he gets to be his true mad scientist, inventor, creator self.
